The Only Marathon You Never Have to Train For

Mueller Memorial • September 2, 2017

Once again this Saturday, Sept 23 2017, Mueller Memorial Funeral & Cremation Service is excited to be sponsoring the only foot race you never need to train for, White Bear Lake’s Shortest Marathon, benefitting the White Bear Lake Emergency Food Shelf.

Registration is at 10:30am and the “race” begins at 11am and travels one block from right out front of Mueller Memorial on Bald Eagle Avenue and 3 rd Street down to 2 nd Street. The whole route is literally one block.

To get your engines going Mueller Memorial sponsors a White Castle slider “carbo-load” before the race, there is a water stop at the halfway point, and doughnut holes and coffee are served at the finish line.

The cost of entry into the marathon is a tax-deductible donation of $35 to the White Bear Area Emergency Food Shelf, and the first 300 registrants get a t-shirt to prove they finished a “marathon.”

For more information or to get tickets, visit either the event page on Facebook or the Food Shelf’s page. You can also sign up last minute at 10:30am on the day of the event.
We’ll see you there!!

There's one Earth Day action that almost no one expects–and it might just be the most meaningful, lasting commitment you can make to the environment. It's the act of preplanning your own funeral.
