William Douglas Krausmann

April 11, 1930 – November 18, 2023

William Douglas ("Bill") Krausmann of Inver Grove Heights passed away on November 18, 2023, at 93. He was born on April 11, 1930, to William G. and Lucille Krausmann at Mounds Park Hospital in Saint Paul, Minnesota. He attended Harding High School and graduated with the class of 1948. He was stationed in Alaska, serving in the United States Air Force from 1950 to 1953.  His professional career in banking and lending started with Community Credit Company and culminated in his retirement from Wells Fargo & Company. During that time, he was a Twin Cities Lenders Association member, served on the American Bankers Advisory Board, and instructed classes for the National Installment Credit School and the American Institute of Banking.

He inspired his family with the outdoors by taking them skiing, camping, and river canoeing. Other interests and pastimes were gardening, solving crossword puzzles with his self-made dictionary, being a long-time fan and season ticket holder for the Minnesota Vikings, and golf where he achieved two hole-in-ones. And of course, always observing five o'clock with an extra dry gin martini.

Bill was very proud of his 57-year marriage to his beloved Joan Marie (Lagerstrom) Krausmann, who preceded him in death in 2015, and the family they raised together. Bill is survived by his children, son William Kevin Krausmann and his wife Camelia, daughter Lynn Krausmann and her husband Angel, son Glenn Krausmann, his grandchildren Kristyn, Sally, Maria, Kyle, Aidan, Connor, Faith, William, and George and his great-grandchildren Samuel and Scarlett.  Bill is also survived by his sisters Joanne Lind, Barbara Howard, and Judy Kenny (Tom).  He will be greatly missed by all.

A gathering of family and friends to celebrate Bill Krausmann's life will be held on Saturday, January 13, at 2 pm at INDIAN HILLS GOLF CLUB, 6667 Keats Ave N, Stillwater, MN 55082. All who knew him are welcome to celebrate his life.

A private family interment at Cottage Grove Cemetery will be held earlier at 11 am.

Memorials to the Alzheimer's Association are preferred instead of flowers (http://www. Alz.org/).
