Bill Frudden, beloved Husband, Father, & Brother, age 67 of Mahtomedi, went to heaven on Tuesday night, peacefully at home while surrounded by his loving family.

Bill grew up in Charles City, Iowa with a great awareness of what it meant to have a solid moral compass ~ and he never faltered. A man whose acts of love and deep faith became the foundational fabric of his family. Upon completion of his undergrad studies in Iowa he moved north to the Twin Cities to attend the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota and began a career in Accounting and Finance. He built lifelong relationships with his clients as a partner in the firm of Smith Schafer and Associates. Bill married his college sweetheart of 38 years, plus 4 if you count the dating years, for a total of 42 blessed years together. He became the best Dad with the arrival of his son and 2 years later his daughter. He loved his children dearly and could not have been prouder of them. He enjoyed the company of his black labs Spencer and Eddie, Vikings football, and football games at Denison University cheering for his favorite linebacker. He happily watched his family grow with the addition of a beloved daughter-in-law, and the arrival of his granddaughter & grandson, and retirement ~ his days were filled with joy.

A man with a deep and beautiful kind soul, he found love in family & friends, honor in responsibility and caring for his people. He appreciated peace in the quiet, wonder & awe in nature's beauty, travel, history, and the sanctuary of home. Music resonated in his whole being ~ he was a self-taught guitarist with a great respect & love for a working musician. A man of quiet strength, humor, and faith. Still waters run deep.

Bill is preceded in death by his father, Dan; brother, Jim; and mother-in-law, Vae Kaiser. He is survived by his loving wife, Kristie (née Kaiser); son, Adam & his wife, Katherine; daughter, Hannah; grandchildren, Olivia Rose & Harley James; mother, Sally; sister, Nancy & her husband, Mike Garry; father-in-law, Harley Dale Kaiser; and sister-in-law, Linda Kaiser.

The Frudden Family is holding a Private Memorial Service and Celebration of Life in honor of Bill. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memorial to Masonic Cancer Center (MCC) Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund (Academic Clinical Affairs), American Cancer Society, or donor's passion of choice.
