Celebrating the Life of Wesley Paul Wiegand
1946 - 2026
We are celebrating the remarkable life of Wes Wiegand - a beloved husband, brother, father, and friend whose love, laughter, and generous spirit touched so many lives.
Wes was born on May 15, 1946 in St Paul, MN to Paul "Buck" and Elizabeth "Betty" Wiegand. He grew up in White Bear Lake, MN where he became a state champion all-around gymnast and graduated with the class of 1964.
As an adult, Wes joined the United States Navy where he proudly served in the submarine service. Upon returning to civilian life, Wes dedicated himself to a career in law enforcement, serving with the Hudson, WI police department for over 25 years before retiring in 1999.
Wes loved playing golf with friends, fishing, playing pool and cribbage, boating, camping the Apostle Islands, rock collecting, and spending time outdoors. His happiest moments were spent on his property on Lake Superior in Herbster, WI.
Wes leaves behind his wife Claudett, children Zach Wiegand of Hudson, WI and Nikki Anderson of Ellendale, MN, and stepchildren Ben Trautlein of Eau Claire, WI and Nikky (Chris) Brooks of Payson, AZ. He also leaves behind his siblings Jill (Bill) Sievers of Maplewood, MN, Heidi (Scott) Mueller of White Bear Lake, MN, and Todd (Rosemarie) Wiegand of Milton, FL and his grandchildren Buckley, Pierce, Sealey, Ever, and Lake.
Though we grieve his absence, we are profoundly grateful for the years we shared and the lessons Wes taught us. His memory will forever be woven into the fabric of our lives.
