Thomas "Tom" Edward Murphy

Thomas "Tom" Edward Murphy, age 89 of Saint Paul, passed away on April 26, 2026.

Tom was born in Fargo, North Dakota to Frank and Mary (Gust) Murphy. He grew up on their farm, and although he enjoyed the work, he later moved to the Twin Cities. Here, Tom dedicated his entire career to Webb Publishing Company, other than the years he spent in service as part of the United States Army.

He was involved in his community as a longtime member of the Moose Lodge in Maplewood. He also looked forward to his routine coffee at McDonald's with his close friends. His family enjoyed Christmas with Tom at the Lake Elmo Inn. Tom will be remembered by his family and other loved ones as a man who appreciated simplicity.

Tom is preceded in death by his parents, Frank & Mary; brother James; and sisters-in-law Margaret, Kathleen, & Barbara Pachofske. He is survived by his brother Patrick; nieces and nephews John, Kathleen, Susan, Steven, & Barbara; and grand-nephew Nick.

A Graveside Service honoring Tom will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, May 11, 2026 at FORT SNELLING NATIONAL CEMETERY 7601 34th Ave S, Minneapolis. Arrival time at 12:45 PM to Assembly Area #2.
