Theodore W. (Trapper) Thompson

Born in Twin Falls, Idaho to Iver and Lillian (Lucci) Thompson.

Served in the Marine Corps Reserves 1947-1949.

In 1952, he married the love of his life, Delores. They had six girls, all of which made him so proud and who he talked about endlessly. He is survived by daughters, Roxanne (Allan) Stover of Illinois, Barb (David Ayers) Thompson-Ayers of Mendota Heights, Wendy (Mike Arntzen) Kayser of Newport, Sandra (Jesse) Mishler of Stacey, Judith Hubbard of St. Paul, and Joy (Gary) Carlson of White Bear Lake; 14 grandchildren; and 26 great grandchildren. Trainmaster for the Chicago Northwestern Railway, where he developed a lifelong love of trains. Loved the outdoors, fishing and trapping. He held the record in MN one year for most mink caught in a short season. He liked telling jokes and people enjoyed them everywhere he went. He was a strong man, but also a gentle man with a very soft heart. The most important thing in his life was his family, who he loved deeply and always let them know. He was such a fun Dad and Grandpa. He will be sincerely missed by his family and friends. Special thanks to the staff at Southview Sr. Living, WSP, especially Tiffany, Donna, and Laura for their steadfast love and care. Also, thanks to the loving staff at St. Croix Hospice. Funeral Service on Friday, February 16 at 11AM at Mueller Memorial, 835 Johnson Pkwy, St. Paul with visitation one hour prior. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
