Terry Lee Schneider

Terrence Lee Michael “Terry” Schneider, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother passed away Friday, January 14, 2022, surrounded by his loving wife and family at the Veterans Hospital.

Terry was born February 25, 1949, grew up in the St. Paul area, and after high school joined the United States Marine Corp and served in Vietnam. Because of injuries suffered in the service, he was a 100% disabled veteran. He met Constance Elizabeth “Connie” Gallas and they married on July 6, 1968 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Terry was employed by the Upper St. Anthony Falls Lock and Dam for 25 years and retired as head lock and dam operator.

Terry is survived by his wife of 54 years, Connie; his children, Shawn (Irene), James (Heidi), and Shannon; 5 granddaughters, Maria, Samantha, Marissa, Michelle, and Emily; 1 great-granddaughter, Victoria; his brother, Patrick; and many friends, family, cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family acknowledges the on-going spiritual guidance of Reverend John Gallas through Terry’s final illness. Funeral mass will be held at 11 AM on Monday, January 24, 2022, at Transfiguration Catholic Church, 6133 15th St N, Oakdale, MN 55128, with visitation one hour prior to the mass at the church. Immediately following mass interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery, 753 Front Ave, St Paul, MN 55103. Due to Covid-19, there will be no luncheon.
