Teresita Kent

Teresita "Teri" Marie Kent, age 72, was born on April 25, 1953, in Buffalo, Minnesota, and passed away peacefully on December 27, 2025.

Teri was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Elizabeth Scharber.

She is lovingly survived by her children: Todd (Ninna) Kent and his children, Aubrey and Brody; Julie (Shannon) Hunter and their children, Caden, Payton, and Kennedy; and Scott (Katie) Kent and their children, Elsie and Olivia. Along with her siblings, Stanley "Jim" Scharber (Berta) and Teresa Danner (Bruce); nieces, nephews, extended family, and many good friends.

Teri dedicated many years of her life to caring for others through her work as a nurse. She found her greatest joy in spending time with her family, especially watching her children and grandchildren swim while sitting poolside, relaxing on the beaches of Mexico, tending to her hostas and vegetable gardens, or enjoying time at Mille Lacs Lake.

She will be fondly remembered for her exceptional skills behind the sewing machine, from mittens, quilts and baby blankets she lovingly created for family and friends.

A celebration of Teri's life is being planned. Details will be shared once arrangements are finalized.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Golden Valley Humane Society.
