Shirley Ann Lefevre was born May 28, 1937 in Grafton, North Dakota. She passed away peacefully on August 30, 2026. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Maria Lefevre; and brother, Robert. She is survived by her brother, Russell Lefevre (Carole); her nephew Peter Lefevre (Patrice) and their children, Maura and Sean; and nieces, Mary Lefevre and her children, Delilah and Marlo, and Kristen (Keith) Lefevre and their children, Calvin and Zachary.

Shirley was the valedictorian of her high school graduating class. After graduation, she received an education with Honors at Valley City Teacher's College in Valley City, North Dakota. Her first assignment as a teacher was in the Northern Cheyenne Indian Reservation. She later received her Bachelor's Degree in Education from the University of North Dakota. She ultimately joined the teaching staff at Lakeaires School in White Bear Lake, Minnesota, where she taught for over 30 years.

Shirley was involved in many activities with her colleagues and friends. When in high school in Grafton, she played the clarinet in the well-known Grafton Parade Band. During that time, they performed at the Orange Bowl in Miami, Florida, the Mardi Gras Parade in New Orleans, Louisiana, and countless events in North Dakota and Minnesota. In her later years, she was a member of the St. Mary of the Lake bell choir and chorus. Shirley enjoyed her retirement, spending time with book clubs and at lectures and local trips.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 AM on Friday, October 2, 2026 at St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church, 4741 Bald Eagle Ave, White Bear Lake, MN with visitation beginning at 10 AM. Interment in Grafton, ND at a later date.
