In Loving Memory of Shelly
Shelly was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother and dear friend to many. A lifelong resident of White Bear Lake, she touched countless lives with her warmth, creativity and generosity. After high school Shelly received her degree as a Medical Assistant and spent years compassionately caring for patients before her lung disease took that ability away from her.
Shelly shared a deep and enduring love with her husband Ron- the love of her life. Together they built a life filled with adventure, laughter and meaningful memories surrounded by family and friends.
Photography was one of Shelly’s many passions. She captured countless events, weddings and senior portraits, meticulously editing each one to perfection. Among her friends she was also known as the best “selfie taker “, and many of those treasured moments are surely being held close today.
Shelly loved motorcycle rides with her husband Ron and their friends. She loved to travel, especially to Florida and feel the sun on her face and her toes in the sand. She also loved fishing in every season, whether it was all bundled up on the ice or relaxing on the boat beneath the warm sun.
Camping brought Shelly great joy. She and Ron shared many camping adventures with friends, family and their 3 dogs: Deuce, Gertie and Eddie. Shelly was always prepared with a theme for each trip and made sure everyone felt included and welcome.
Shelly was an avid sports fan. She especially loved cheering on the MN Gophers and was often a frustrated Vikings fan.
Her creativity and artistic capabilities were unmatched; there was never an art or craft project that she was afraid to try, or unable to master.
Shelly was also deeply committed to helping others. She was very active for several years in raising funds and donations for the North St. Paul Senior overnight parties and consistently volunteered her time to coordinate fundraisers and benefits.
Above all, Shelly was always grateful for the time she spent with her children and grandchildren; she cherished every moment with them and held her family close to her heart.
She fought her illness with dignity and strength until the very end. Shelly will be missed by many, but she will remain forever in our hearts.
