Ronald Parent

November 29, 1951 — June 4, 2025

Ronald J. Parent, 73 of Maplewood passed away June 4, 2025.

Preceded in death by his father Leonard, Mother Alice, brothers John, Robert (Charlotte) and Kenneth. Survived by his loving and devoted wife Dian, Sisters in law Kinuko, Jeanne and many nieces and nephews.

He graduated from North St. Paul High School class of 1971. His first job was at Union Cemetery. He moved to Metro Transit in 1976 where he was a bus operator until he retired. Ron was a member of the board of directors of Union Cemetery for over 30 years. There was nothing Ron could not fix. Before the days of Google, he would read a fix-it book and get it done. He was an avid dirt racing fan, partial to sprint cars. He enjoyed races at Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond Wisconsin and the World of Outlaw Nationals in Knoxville Iowa.

Ron will be greatly missed by our family and his many friends.

Services will be held on Tuesday, June 17 at Mueller Memorial, 835 Johnson Parkway, St. Paul. Visitation will begin at 10am with a Service starting at 11am. Interment at Union Cemetery, Maplewood.
