Rita Fleischhacker

Rita H. Fleischhacker, 86, of St. Paul, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 7, 2022. She was preceded in death by parents, Nicholas and Mary Huberty; daughter, Diane; siblings, Marvin and Annabelle. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Merwyn; children, David (Liz), Michael (Anne), Roger, Lori (Bob), and Lynn (John); 15 grandkids; 11 great grandkids; brother, Donald; twin brother, Richard; sister-in-law, Millie; and other extended family and friends.

Rita was born in Jacobs Prairie, Mn on July 25, 1935 to Mary and Nick Huberty. She married her best friend, Merve Fleischhacker, on June 18, 1957. They had 6 children, 15 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. She was very active in the church and loved to volunteer. Her hobbies were camping, fishing, playing cards, puzzling, and embroidery. She was a strong backbone and supporter of the family business. Most importantly, she was an amazing spouse, mother, and friend.

A funeral mass will be held at 10 AM on Monday, July 25, 2022 at St. Pascal Baylon Catholic Church, 1757 Conway St, St Paul, with visitation an hour prior at the church and on Sunday, July 24, from 4 PM to 7 PM at Mueller Memorial, 835 Johnson Parkway, St. Paul. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to St. Pascal Baylon Catholic Church.
