For I know that my Redeemer lives
And He shall stand at last on the earth;
And after my skin is destroyed, this I know,
That in my flesh I shall see God,
Whom I shall see for myself,
And my eyes shall behold, and not another.
How my heart yearns within me!
Job 19:25-27
After a long life filled with Faith, Hope and Love, Peggy Chagnon fell asleep in the Lord on June 27, 2026. Born in Wausau, Wisconsin, to Emil & Lorinda Brandenburg, she was raised on the farm and in 1956 married Ken Chagnon, who preceded her in death. Together they had four children Marc (Debbie), John (Jane), Paul (Jeanine) who preceded her in death and Anne (Paolo). She is survived by her sister, Susan; grandchildren Lorinda (Eric), Lindsay (Justin), Alyssa (Dan) and Daniel (Kelsey) and great grandson Kenneth. An avid gardener, she made everywhere she lived bloom with color and grace. Without fanfare she assisted people in need by cleaning the homes of the elderly and those in need. Her faith in Christ was deep and real, her Bible well worn, and her holy prayers sustained her family and many around the world known only to God. For her children and grandchildren she modeled a life of commitment to God, family and good works all of which go before her and remain with all of us who mourn her passing even as we wait, in hope, to see her again on the glorious day of resurrection. Peggy's love of gardening leads us to ask for flowers at her funeral if you so desire or a memorial can be made to the Ken Chagnon Memorial Fund at Century College.
