Paula P. Dellis (nee Tessier)

Passed away unexpectedly on February 1, 2026. Born on May 17, 1950. A full notice with service details will run in the spring.

Below are some family memories:

Some of my favorite memories with Aunt Paula were the summers I got to spend at her house by myself before the rest of the family joined us. From the big house with all the animals and the green shag carpet to her current town home in Maplewood, which I stayed when I was in PA school. Of course. My favorite memory was when we went to the Wisconsin Ducks. She also took me to the minnesota state fair one summer and taught me about "Minnesota hair moths!" I guess I didn't brush my hair very good as a child and it was a little unruly, lol. Aunt Paula was my God mother and she never missed a birthday or Christmas. She was generous and loving and will be missed! Jennifer

My fondest memory of Paula comes from the gifts she would always bring me from her many tropical adventures. My favorite gifts were the t shirts that changed colors in the sun. I smile when I think of those gifts and wish I still had one to remember her by. Brooke

Paula lived a very complete and full filled life! As her 11 year younger brother I saw her as my big sister, all 6 feet tall of her. She went through life accomplishing all her goals that included being a loving daughter, sister, and friend to many. She went to college to become a nurse, worked at st.Johns Hospital, got married, and made more friends on her life journey. Many years ago she lost her husband and found her way as a single person becoming stronger and more dedicated to her career, spending time with family and making more friends! In her retirement she continued her life path enjoying family, making more friends and traveling to the Caribbean and other destinations with her dear friend Caryl. I remember Bart

Out of many wonderful memories of my sister Paula, here are just a few of the best. As children, we took tap dancing lessons and had recitals, but the real fun was practicing on a sheet of plywood that my dad would lay on our dining room floor. Paula loved traveling as an adult. She took many, many cruises and would go to her favorite jewelry store on one of the islands and gifted me with beautiful rings. A very fun memory was when she and I flew to Greece. When we arrived at our gate, we were informed that the airline had overbooked the plane. I havenever since seen her face change in a millisecond from fear to shock like I did when we were offered a free upgrade to First Class. All she kept saying about that experience was “I hadn’t even sat down, and the flight attendant was offering me a glass of wine and fancy nuts!” Another cherished time was staying with her while she recovered from knee replacement surgeries. We would lay in her bed in the mornings, binge some series on Netflix, and eat chocolates with flavored coffee. Precious time. I will miss all the years of playing board games, card games, and dice games and going out for coffee with her. I will miss her Christmas in June celebrations as they were so unique and fun. I was lucky to have her for my sister for 73 years.    Barbara
