Pamela Wilson

May 10, 1960 — October 10, 2023

Pamela (Zamor) Wilson, 63, of White Bear Lake, formerly of Duluth, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 10, 2023. Pam was born and raised in New Brighton, MN, graduating from Mounds View High School in 1978. Pam continued her education at the University of Minnesota Duluth School of Business and Economics, graduating in 1983 with a bachelor's degree in business administration.

The entirety of Pam's working career was spent in the University of Minnesota system. Pam began her career at the Natural Resource Research Institute in Duluth as the Administrative Director when it opened in 1983 and continued until 2007. From 2007 to 2017, Pam worked as the Administrative Director for Mechanical Engineering at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, retiring in 2017 after 35 years of service to the University of Minnesota.

Pam married Dave Wilson on April 23, 1983, in New Brighton, MN. Together they had three children: Stephanie, Kyle, and Ryan. Pam spent many years supporting her children in various activities as an active volunteer and "taxi driver". Pam was the "cookie lady" for Stephanie's Girl Scout troop and volunteered in support of Stephanie's YMCA Swim team and soccer teams. Pam also enjoyed volunteering and cheering on Kyle during his years playing hockey with Glen Avon and the East golf team. Pam and Ryan often spent time bowling and traveled to Great Britain together when Ryan participated in the People to People Student Ambassador program.

Always generous, kind, and caring, Pam often helped those in need. She loved participating in neighborhood activities, on Leicester Ave, where the families gathered regularly. Pam was a superb host of neighborhood potlucks and joined in on camping trips to State Parks, numerous bike rides and other fun adventures. Involved in Junior League of Duluth for several years, Pam contributed to a variety of community projects. An extraordinary cook, Pam's chocolate raspberry cheesecake won first place in a Junior League cooking contest. While cooking was an interest, shopping and fine dining were Pam's passions. During her later years, she realized some of her greatest joys through her grandkids; Jace, Jackson, Blaine, and Blayke.

Pam was preceded in death by her father, Kyran Zamor. Pam is survived by her husband, Dave; children, Stephanie (Jordan) Appleby, Kyle (Dani), and Ryan; grandchildren, Jace, Jackson, Blaine, and Blayke; mom, Juanita Zamor; and sister, Kim (Rob) Sahr.

A memorial gathering will be held in Duluth on Friday, October 20, 2023, from 2:00 - 5:00 pm at Ridgeview Country Club, 700 W Redwing St, Duluth, MN 55803.
