Age 73

Passed away on July 13, 2025 from a tired heart. Born January 22, 1952 to Jake & Lenore Ryder and grew up in Maplewood, MN. Nick graduated from St. Olaf College and went on to help run the family business, Woodland Beach Resort on Bay Lake. On April 1st, 2000, Nick married the love of his life, Therese and they enjoyed 25 years together. After selling the resort, Nick went to MRI school and had a second career working as an MRI technologist at North Memorial Hospital for 10 years. Nick was preceded in death by parents Jake & Lenore, brother Danny & cousin Patty Carlson. He is survived by his wife Therese; step-son Robert Elsen; close family Del Carlson, Heather Kelly and Chad (Lynn) Carlson; in-laws Phil Paquette (Connie), Nancy Berryman (Ron), Margaret Paquette, Karen Donovan (Dan), Rich Paquette (Mary), Marie Ousdigian (Doug) and many nieces, nephews and friends. Service Monday, July 21, 2025 at 11:00 am at MUELLER MEMORIAL, 4738 Bald Eagle Avenue, White Bear Lake with visitation starting at 10:00 am. Interment Sunset Memorial Park, Minneapolis, MN.
