Beloved Mom, Grandma and Gigi

Age 89

Preceded in death by husband Harold and sister Carolyn Holmberg. Survived by children Stephen (Gayle), Marti Naughton (Jim), Tom (Marsheila) and Sara Rohde (Tony); grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren; brother Ron Dietrich (Darlene) and nieces and nephews. Service Friday, March 1, 2024 at 2:00 pm at OUR SAVIOUR'S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 674 Johnson Parkway with visitation one hour before the service. Interment Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Memorials preferred to Our Saviour's Lutheran Church.

Nancy was born in Detroit, MI, where she met and married Harold Kenow. They started their family in Detroit, before moving to the East Side of St. Paul, MN. 

Her working years were spent as the school secretary at East St. Paul Lutheran School, alongside her beloved husband, before transferring to office work at Norwest Bank/Wells Fargo. However, being a homemaker brought her the most joy. 

Nancy will be remembered for her kind and gentle spirit along with her great sense of humor. As mom, grandma and Gigi, she enjoyed spending time with her family and being with her children, grandchildren, and especially beloved great-grandchildren. 

She enjoyed reading, sewing, and baking, and used her gifts to spread joy and comfort; whether it was baking for a special event, participating in quilting club for Lutheran World Relief or serving at her church - and often with a book by her side. Although, she did know her limitations and stayed out of Harry’s garden!

Her past year was fraught with medical events, but through it all she expressed how blessed her life was, and that she “had no regrets - not one.” She is now reunited in Christ with her husband of 60 years “Harry.”
