Michael Duncan

Michael “Mike” Duncan, 69, of North St. Paul, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 23rd, 2025 due to complications from a stroke. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Rose Duncan; brothers James and Patrick Duncan; and nephew Jeremy Duncan. Mike is survived by his wife, Mary (nee Schuler) Duncan; children, Christopher (Kelly) Duncan, Anne (Zachary) Morgan, and Laura (Daniel) Orme; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Genevieve, Eliana, Joseph, Emaline, Beatrice, Rosenwyn, Julia, Danny, John Paul, Kerilyn, James, Dafydd, Veronica, and Hannah; sisters, Barbara, Mary and Teresa; brother Daniel; and many nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Mike was born in Miami, Florida; lived in Texas until age 12; and then moved with his family to Waterloo, Iowa. He attended Columbus High School where he was known for his distance running and was an All-American track star. Always an Iowa man at heart, he enjoyed traveling there often and helping his friends during harvest season on their farms. Mike took great pleasure in the simple joys of life. He loved to watch storms roll in over the Iowa fields; he was a talented gardener; he enjoyed working on cars; and fishing with his nephews. He also liked spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. His quiet and gentle presence will be greatly missed.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, June 3rd at the Church of St. Peter, 2600 Margaret St N, North St. Paul, MN 55109, with visitation beginning at 10 AM and also on Monday, June 2nd, from 4-7 PM at Mueller Memorial, 4738 Bald Eagle Ave, White Bear Lake, MN. Interment to follow the Mass at St. Mary’s Cemetery New Addition (2980 Helen St. North St. Paul). In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Church of St. Peter in North St. Paul.
