Mercer Richter

Mercer Joseph Richter was born 9-25-1936 in Emmetsburg Iowa and he passed away peacefully in his home on 7-26-2020 in White Bear Lake. He is survived by his wife Nancy Richter of 57 years, their 3 daughters Michele Richter, Susan Richter-Nodler, and Kari Richter. As well as his 5 grandchildren Michael Richter, Kailey Richter-Moore, Sam Nodler, Jack Nodler, and Mya Richter-Moore. Mercer was a wonderful and loving father, grandfather, and friend to many. A memorial service will be held at St. Mary's of the Lake in White Bear Lake MN on August 26, at 11 am. The service will also be live-streamed on YouTube for those not attending the service (see instructions below). Due to limitations on gatherings we ask that if you plan to attend in person to call or text Sue at 651-341-4810, she is maintaining a list of attendees to ensure we have enough seating. Additionally, in lieu of flowers please consider contributing to the Mercer J Richter Memorial Scholarship fund. Eligible recipients must be a student from Emmettsburg, Iowa planning to attend the University of Iowa. Donations may be sent to the family.
