Tesch, Melissa A., 49, of St. Paul passed away suddenly of heart failure on Thursday, December 19, 2019. Preceded in death by sister and best buddy, Rachel in 2006; grandparents; cousin, Gavin Klebs; Aunt, Penny Lohman. Survived by parents, Sheila and Lyle Tesch; best friend, Fred Dean; many Aunts and Uncles and cousins from MN AK FL that will be attending her remembrance service: Uncle Ivan Tesch(Cheri), cousins Jeremiah Tesch and Rebecca Hughbanks(Ryan); Aunt Jackie Cowdery, cousins Tim Cowdery(Jo), Jacquelynn Goessling(Ted), Clarisse Youmell(Dan), and Renee. Uncle Jim Killeen "the Godfather" (Michele), cousins Joe Killeen(Nicole) and Kathy Killeen; Uncle-in -law Mike Lohman (Penny deceased), cousins Mike Lohman Jr, Jennifer Dynan(Dave) and Kelley Romanowski(Dan); Aunt Carol Mikos(Jerry), cousins Nick Mikos, Sarah Klebs(Matt), Amy Bates and Aunt Patricia Killeen, Godmother. Melissa’s love of life included bowling and Special Olympics softball for which she received many trophies and medals. She loved catching fish with her family, socializing and partying dancing for weddings, birthdays, any occasion she was happy to celebrate! She enjoyed working through supported services of Lifeworks in Eagan. Her most recent position was stocking at Joann Fabrics, unpacking Christmas items and coming home covered with glitter! She loved to wear tie dyed shirts and socks and had a tie dyed bowling ball. SPECIAL THANKS to the emergency room team and cardiac intensive care at Regions Hospital. A very special thanks to Rescare MN staff that were by her side during her transition to eternity and the support she received to make her life happy living independently. Special thanks to Lifeworks staff for staying hours at the hospital, absorbing the frank discussions with doctors and supporting her for many years of employment.Thanks to attentive case management from Keystone community services. Under protest, she filled out her final directives last year, this made her passing very peaceful for her and her parents. “We are spiritual beings having an earthly experience and this earthly experience is just a speck of our existence”. A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 30, 2019 at 5 PM at Mueller Memorial- Parkway Chapel, 835 Johnson Parkway, St. Paul, with visitation from 2 PM until the time of the service. Wearing tie /dyed anything would be a great way to celebrate her life. A private family burial will be held the next day. Memorials preferred to Lifeworks of Eagan, MN.
