Kaiser, Maxine, 83, passed away peacefully in MN on Sat., Nov. 19, 2022. Preceded in death by parents; nephew, Daniel Leko. Survived by sister, Joyce Leko; brother, Kurt (Mary Clark-Kaiser) Kaiser; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Born Dec. 19, 1938 in St. Paul, MN, grew up in rural Jordan, MN. Attended Catholic elementary school and public high school in Jordan; received her bachelor's degree in biology from the College of St. Benedict at St. Joseph, MN; Master of Biological Sciences degree from the University of Idaho and Master in Pastoral Ministry from St. Mary's University in MN. Spent almost 25 years with the Benedictines. Taught in the Catholic schools in the St. Cloud Diocese in MN and Judge Memorial Catholic HS in Utah. Director of the Diocesan Resource Center in Utah for 13 years and Diocesan Director of the Office of the Liturgy in Utah from 1996-2008.

Maxine moved to Utah in 1976 to teach, expecting to stay for a year or two. She quickly fell in love with Utah's natural beauty, its people, and the potential for meaningful service within the Church. She remained in Utah until 2017, when she moved back to MN to be closer to family.

Maxine loved children and traveled all over the world. She had a deep appreciation for the Church's rich liturgical and spiritual heritage and a keen awareness of the power that liturgy has as an integrating force in our Christian lives. Her goal has always been to help people find meaning for their daily lives in the faith that we profess and celebrate.
