Maureen Shanley

Shanley (nee Cullinan), Maureen - Loving Wife, Mom & Grandma, Age 88, of North St. Paul, passed away on December 28, 2021.  Born in Co. Clare, Ireland she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J; parents, Peter and Margaret Cullinan; siblings; infant daughter; and son-in-law, Greg Scharffbillig. Maureen left her family farm in Ireland at the age of 17 to live with an Aunt in Minnesota. She met Robert Shanley at an Irish dance and married in 1954. Bob and Maureen raised 6 children on St. Paul’s East side. She will be greatly missed by children, Mary (Steve) Jungbauer, Patricia Shanley, Michael Shanley, Colleen (Ron) Singh, Robert (Cristin) Shanley, and Kathleen Scharffbillig (Ron Rose); 19 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and close friends through the years. Sleep in Heavenly Peace, until we meet again. We will love and miss you always.

A funeral mass will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 1725 Kennard St, St Paul, with visitation from 4 PM to 7 PM on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Mueller Memorial- St. Paul, 835 Johnson Parkway and an hour prior to the mass on Thursday. Private Interment at Guardian Angels Cemetery.
