Kansier, Mary, Age 96, Of Maplewood

Born on July 2, 1926, in St. Paul, she passed away peacefully on August 28, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was married to her husband Tom for more than 70 years, a member of the Gladstone Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary for more than 25 years, and a reluctant Girl Scout leader for her daughters. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas; parents, Pasquale and Christina Anzevino; sisters, Henrietta (Donald) Chatterton, Mamie (Donald) Legato, and Margaret Anzevino; and nieces Barbara Zosel and Rachel Brownell. She is survived by her children, Lynne and Dennis Saxton, Christine Kansier, Jane Kansier, and Thomas and Cindy Kansier; grandchildren, Pasquale Saxton and Carly Brown, David and Tammi Saxton, James and Jessyca Saxton, Christy and Scott Mischke, Andy and Amanda Chase, and Danielle and Tyler Sandquist, 9 adored great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A memorial mass will take place at 11 AM on Friday, September 2, 2022 at Presentation of Mary Church, 1725 Kennard St, Maplewood, with visitation from 10 AM until the time of mass. Interment to follow at Union Cemetery. Memorials preferred to the National Federation for the Blind of Minnesota or Presentation of Mary Church.
