LOUIS A. GILBERT Passed Away Suddenly on February 21, 2014 Louis was preceded in death by his mother, Lorraine "Dolly" Gilbert on January 15, 2014; his son, Curt Gilbert on August 6, 2013; and his son, Chad Gilbert on July 8, 2010. He will be dearly missed by his wife, Carol Gilbert (nee Monroe); his father, William "Bill" Gilbert; his brothers, Robert (Dawn) Gilbert, Brad Gilbert, Dave (Lee) Gilbert, Bill (Peggy) Gilbert and Kevin Gilbert; his sister, Lori (Tom) Schuenke; his grandsons, Tanner and Tucker Gilbert; his aunts, Gladys Peterson and Hazel Underhill; uncles, James Colberg and Richard Colbert; and many other family and friends. There will be a Gathering of Friends and Family from 1-2PM on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Mueller Lake Mortuary, 4738 Bald Eagle Ave., White Bear Lake with the Memorial Service beginning at 2PM. Following the service, friends and family are invited to the White Bear Lake VFW. "Louis was an amazing man with a heart of gold. He lived his life with a loving heart and a giving spirit. He was the person that so many of us turned to when we needed help with anything. He was a husband who deeply loved his wife and was so looking forward to spending his retirement years with her. His Christian faith kept him focused on what really matters in this life, and saw them through many painful experiences. As we grieve the loss of this beautiful man, we are comforted in knowing he is now with his Lord and Savior."
