Linda Marie (Honsey) Peterson

Linda Marie (Honsey) Peterson was born August 4, 1946 to Willard and Abbie Honsey in Minneapolis, MN. Linda grew up in St. Louis Park, MN and graduated from St. Louis Park High School. In 1965, she married Dale Anderson and they had two daughters, Sarah and Laura. They later divorced and Linda went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Earth Science. In 1979, she married Tom Peterson and Linda gained another daughter, Nicole. Linda and Tom moved to the Peterson family farm in Curtiss, WI. While we suspect Linda never fancied herself a farm girl, she made Curtiss and the Owen area her home and embraced living there. They had two sons, Brian and Ben. Linda was an avid golfer and eventually moved to the golf course after Tom died. Linda enjoyed traveling and visited family and friends around the country. Above all else, Linda loved her family. Linda will be dearly missed by her children Sarah Hietpas, Laura Bailey, Nicole (Brian) Bolduan, Brian (Gina) Peterson, Benjamin (Domonique) Peterson; grandchildren Ashley (Nate) Wing, Jordan Emerson, Quentin Hietpas, Paige Hietpas, Henry Hietpas, Wyatt Bolduan, Adam Bolduan and Lily Peterson. Linda was anxiously awaiting the arrival of Ben and Dom’s baby due in September. She will also be missed by her sisters Jan Stewart, Beryl (Don) Waldeland, Karen (Chuck) Kleinsteuber; sisters-in-law Carol Devine, Nancy (Dan) McAleese; brothers-in-law Dick Peterson, Jim (Debbie) Peterson, many nieces, nephews and dear friends. She wanted everyone to know how much she loved them. Linda is preceded in death by her husband Tom, parents Willard and Abbie Honsey, father and mother-in-law Ralph and Gwen Peterson, brothers-in-law Dick Stewart, Gary Peterson and Tim Devine. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m, Saturday, August 21, 2021, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 1131 N Meridian St., Curtiss, WI 54422, with a visitation beginning one hour before the service. A celebration of Linda’s life will be held at Meadowview Golf Course after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Curtiss, WI.
