Julie Ann Sanders

Julie Ann Sanders (nee Tellin), 73, of Cottage Grove, formerly of North Saint Paul, passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2026. She was preceded in death by former spouses, Patrick Wallek and Fredrick Sanders; sisters, Lori and Carol; and parents, Carl and Mildred. Julie is survived by her children, Dan (Kathy) Wallek, Amy (Tom) Cullen, and Kim (Chad) Edwards; grandchildren, Joe, Elizabeth, James, Katelyn, Matthew, Charles, Grace, Carrie, Peter, David, Sam, Micah, Aidan, and Emma; siblings, Linda, Bill, Tom, Kristi, John (Sam), and Jim; stepchildren and step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and many other extended family and friends; especially close friends, Pam, Kathy, & Bud; and furry companion, her dog, Bugsy.

Julie loved to paint garden statues and collect butterfly and bird decorations. She enjoyed word searches, coloring and playing games on her phone, particularly Candy Crush. Julie was a woman with a lot of pride. She believed she showed strength in pushing through tough times. She never wanted to be a burden on anyone, but she would drop everything to be there for someone she cared for. Family meant everything to her. She loved all her grandchildren; they were her everything. If she was having a bad day, all she needed was to hear from one of them and her day was better.

A memorial gathering will be held from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at Mueller Memorial, White Bear Lake, 4738 Bald Eagle Ave, with a time of sharing beginning at 6:00 PM.
