Joan Therese Peters

 During Joan's last few weeks, she enjoyed taking the hand of a family or friend visitor and just holding it. We can only guess how thrilled she must have been when on September 19, Jesus held out his hand to her and said something like; come Joan, take my hand and walk with me!

 Joan was born August 25, 1940 to Anthony and Harriet Cich, was raised in a friendly Rice Street neighborhood, attended Saint Bernard's grade school, then Saint Agnes High School, where she met classmate Bob, and later married him in 1961.They started their family of five children, some cats, a stray dog and made many wonderful friends.

 Joan worked several part time jobs but the ones that she was most suited for were those of wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She rated five stars for each of those. After retirement, Joan enjoyed their many driving trips with husband Bob to Florida, California and later South Carolina where both daughters Mary and Lynn live. She was a wonderful traveling companion.

 Joan is survived by husband, Bob; daughters, Mary Wickstrom and Lynn Allers; sons, Tom, Joe (Katie) and Matt; and grandchildren, Austin, Alyssa, Sophie and Noah.

 Please join us for the celebration of her life at 10:30 AM on Friday, October 2, 2026 for the Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Pascal Baylon Catholic Church, 1757 Conway St., Saint Paul, with visitation starting at 9:30 AM. A private burial will take place later. Memorials preferred to Our Lady of Peace Hospice, St. Paul, MN.
