Joan Miske

Miske (nee Bartel) Joan M., 83, of St. Paul passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, August 2, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents; and twin brother, Jim Bartel. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Bill Miske; children, AnneMarie (Willy) Moorhous, Julie Buetow, Joy Miske, and Joseph Michael (Jeannie) Miske; 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; sister Dorothy Williams (Rick); and a large circle of family and friends. Joan was born in St. Paul on January 27, 1938 and was married on September 6, 1958. She was deeply involved with her church and had a tremendous and fierce love for her family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, formerly known as St. Thomas the Apostle, 2119 Stillwater Ave E., St. Paul; with visitation an hour prior to the mass. Interment at Union Cemetery in Maplewood at 1:45 PM. Memorials preferred to the St. Joseph Indian School in South Dakota, www.stjo.org.
