James "Jim" F. Wegman
Age 80 of Columbia Heights

Preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Stella and his sister, Kathy Kelling. Jim is survived by his wife of 42 years, Debbie; daughters, Hope (Nicholas) Slattery and Amy (Christopher) Soller; grandchildren, Watson, Crosby, Sullivan, Norah and Barrett; siblings, Barbara (Robert) Sockolich, Paul (Trudy) and Elaine (Paul) Scheidnes; and by many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members and friends.

Jim was a wonderful husband and father who supported his family in many ways. He had the kindest heart that especially showed up through his generosity toward others. It almost seemed as though helping others was his life mission. If someone needed help, Jim would often stop what he was doing to help in whatever way he could. He had many skills and talents and could fix just about anything - he was still busy doing projects even in his last days! He loved food and was always cooking up something healthy and delicious in the kitchen. It's no surprise that he will be dearly missed by many.

A celebration of Jim's life will take place on Sunday, April 30th from 1-4pm at Interra Green Burial by Mueller Memorial, 835 Johnson Pkwy., St. Paul.
