James Ward

September 30, 1960 — April 19, 2025

James (Jim) Donald Ward, age 64, of Osceola, WI, passed away suddenly on Saturday, April 19, 2025. Born in St. Paul, MN on September 30, 1960, Jim’s journey in life was one of love, laughter, and resilience.

Jim met the love of his life, Brenda, during his high school years. Their connection was an immediate bond that sparked a romance built on shared adventures and moments of joy. On one of their very first outings, Brenda left a shoe in Jim’s car—ensuring he’d have to take her out again. The rest, as they say, is history. Forty-five years later, they had built a beautiful life together, filled with unforgettable memories and unwavering love.

A true outdoorsman at heart, Jim found peace in the woods and loved hunting with his dogs. He had a need for speed, a passion reflected in his beloved Indian motorcycle and his love for adventure. Jim was also the proud owner of White Bear Machine, where his dedication and expertise helped grow the company, earning him the respect and admiration of everyone around him.

Jim’s strength and tenacity were nothing short of remarkable. A man of incredible resolve, he refused to let the limitations of an ATV accident that left him paralyzed define him. Instead, he became a creative problem-solver, finding innovative ways to adapt to challenges without sacrificing the things he loved. His courage and determination were a constant source of inspiration to those who knew him.

Above all, Jim was a devoted family man. His love for his grandchildren was boundless. “Grandpa Jim,” was always ready with a joke, a playful tease, or a mischievous adventure, lighting up every room with his warmth and laughter. His family was his greatest treasure.

Jim is survived by his beloved wife, Brenda; sons, Jay (Veronica) and Josh (Tricia); his cherished grandchildren, Weston, Kellen, Harper, Keagan, and Hadley; father-in-law, Roy Lund; brother-in-law, Jeff (Lisa) Lund; sister-in-law, Roxanne (Jim) Sacchetti; sister, Vicki Quinney; nephew, Ben (Kristi) Ward and many other nephews, nieces and relatives. He was preceded in death by his mother, Edy Ward; sisters, Deborah and Cheri Ward; mother-in-law, Judith Lund; and brother-in-law, Scott Lund.

Jim’s legacy will live on in the love he gave, the strength he showed, and the memories he created with those who were lucky enough to know him. He was a man who truly lived life to the fullest, and he will be deeply missed by all who loved him.
