Black, James J. Loving Husband, Dad Grandpa & Great Grandpa Retired from 3M after 39 years. Preceded in death by his sister Kathryn. Survived by his wife of 63 yrs. Catherine “Kit” and 7 children: Carol (John) Gariano of Shoreview; Ed (Lois) of Woodbury; Ann (Jerry) Hoffman of Maplewood; Tom of St. Paul; Mary (Rich) Paquette of Brooklyn Park; Bob of St. Paul and Bill of St. Paul. There are 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Also by his brother Wyman (Naomi) Black of Rochester. Visitation from 4 -7 PM with prayer service at 7 TUESDAY at Marian Center, 200 Earl St., St. Paul and 1 hr. prior to Mass at church. Mass of Christian Burial WEDNESDAY at 10:30 AM at St. Pascal of Baylon Church; 3rd and White Bear Ave. Interment Union cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials are encouraged to St. Pascal’s or the Marian Center.
