Jack Ambler

Died on April 25, 2026, a year after the death of his loving wife, Jean Ambler.

Jack enlisted in the Army at age 17 and served in Korea. He finished high school upon his return and attended Macalester College. Jack was an independent business owner, owning businesses in St. Paul; Austin, MN; Rochester, MN; and LaCrosse, WI. He loved his employees and they held him in high esteem. Jack was an outstanding athlete. He pitched semi-pro baseball, often pitching both games of a double header. He became an avid golfer starting at age 27. He won the Club Championship twice at Gainey Ranch in Arizona, first at age 59 and then again at age 69.

His first marriage, to Jeanne (Charleston) Collins, provided four children who survive him: Denice (John) Kludt, Sherry (Pat) Egan, Bob (Dianne) Ambler, and Jill Christophersen; 12 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and Jean Ambler's children, William (Patricia), Jack (Susan), Charles (Julie), Douglas (Katherine), Steven (Shannon); along with their 11 children; and 10 grandchildren.

Preceded in death by parents, Robery & Isla Ambler; wife, Jean Whitaker Ambler; and sister, Pat Giefer.

Visitation on May 26th from 4-7pm at Mueller Memorial, 4738 Bald Eagle Ave., White Bear Lake. Private interment Lakewood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Salvation Army.
