Hudson James Hinrichs, 8, tragically passed away on March 21, 2026, along with his mother, Jessica "Jessi" Hinrichs, and siblings, Cayden and Avery.
Hudson was born September 9, 2017, in Woodbury, MN, to parents Michael and Jessica (Pierce) Hinrichs. He attended Wildwood Elementary School, where his curious nature and passion for learning had him constantly exploring new things. From early on, he just loved to learn and was constantly doing word puzzles. He enjoyed playing with friends in the neighborhood and at school.
Hudson naturally took to being a big brother, where he was always building Legos, playing games, coloring pictures, and wrestling with his siblings. He often would be sitting on the couch with his arm around his brother or sister. Hudson's competitive spirit drove him to excel at many sports, but he especially loved playing basketball. He often spent his mornings building his Minecraft worlds with his brother and evenings solving puzzles snuggled up on the couch with the family.
His favorite memories were of celebrating holidays as a family, trips up north to Gamma's, hanging out with aunts and uncles, or random trips to visit Grandma or Papa. He just loved being with his family.
Hudson is survived by his father, Michael Hinrichs; grandparents, John and Kim Pierce, and Donna Hinrichs; great-grandmother, Mary Moehrle; uncles, Rich (Kristy) Pierce, Nick Pierce, and Jonah Hinrichs; aunts, Mary Hinrichs and Melissa Hinrichs; and cousins, Johnny Pierce, David Pierce, and Olivia Hinrichs.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Ervin Hinrichs; uncle, Aaron Hinrichs; great- grandparents, Jim "Papa" and JoAnn "Gamma" Sirois; great-grandparents, Chuck and Dale Pierce; great-grandmother, Darlene Clark; great-grandfather, Robert "Bob" Moehrle; and great- grandparents, Ervin Hinrichs and Henrietta Smith.
