Woeltge, H. David, 83, of Hugo, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, November 10, 2025. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanne; daughter, Kristin; and brother-in-law, David Wells. He is survived by his daughters, Lori ( Brad) Jacobsen and Julie (Randy) Yamauchi; granddaughter, Samantha (Billy) Watson; siblings, Gary (Sandie), Don (Mary), and Kathy Wells; and many nieces; nephews; other family and friends.
Born and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota, he was a man of integrity, dedication, and quiet strength. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1960 to 1962 aboard the USS Haynsworth.
After returning home, he married the love of his life, Jeanne, and together they shared 63 wonderful years, raising three cherished daughters. His family was the center of his world, and he took great pride in their accomplishments and the time they spent together.
He found peace on the St. Croix River, where he loved boating and fishing, and enjoyed restoring boats at home-a reflection of his patience, skill, and lifelong connection to the water.
He was eagerly anticipating the arrival of his first great grandchild- a great granddaughter-who's coming filled him with great joy.
