Peacefully passed away July 2nd, 2022 surrounded by family after a 2+ week stay at United Hospital with a staph infection.  
 
Harley was born November 4th, 1940 to parents Hjalmer and Clarice Hamstad.  He enlisted in the Navy from 1960-1964 on the USS Nova ship that picked up John Glenn.  He met his wife, Janice, in high school and married in 1965.  They have 2 children, 4 grandsons, and 1 great-grandson.  
 
Harley worked for the Ford Motor Company until he retired in 2006.  He enjoyed camping with friends and family, horseshoes, tennis, bowling, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, golfing, fishing, hunting, playing cards, spending time at their cabin on Maple Lake and at their winter home in Mesa, AZ.
 
Harley is preceded in death by his parents Hjalmer and Clarice Hamstad, and his brother Jerry.  Survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Janice; son Greg (Angie); daughter Brenda Fiddle (Jesse); grandsons Mason, Chase, Max, and Easton; great-grandson Greyson, sister-in-law Marcy Hamstad, nephew Jeff, and nieces Kelly, Marie, Lisa, and Rita.  

Service Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at 2:00 pm at CHRIST THE KING CHURCH, 1660 Birch Lake Avenue, White Bear Lake with visitation one hour before the service.
