In Loving Memory of Patrick O’Brien

Pat, age 91, passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family.

Pat proudly served his country in the United States Navy as an anti-submarine crewman from 1957 to 1959. After graduating from Monroe High School, Class of 1953, he began a career at American National Can Company in St. Paul, where he worked for more than 40 years before retiring in 1995. Throughout his career, he was a proud and active union member.

On November 5, 1960, Pat married the love of his life, Beverly Dabruzzi. Together they built a life rooted in faith, devotion, and family, raising four sons: Patrick, Michael, Paul, and Timothy.

Pat was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who found his greatest joy in spending time with his family. He especially enjoyed teaching his sons to fish and hunt, sharing not only outdoor skills but also the values of honesty, hard work, kindness, and respect. His quiet strength, generosity, and unwavering dedication to those he loved will be remembered always.

A devoted St. Pascal’s parishioner of 64 years, Pat generously volunteered his time and talents, helping with the construction of the church’s new addition. His faith remained a guiding force throughout his life.

Pat will be laid to rest during a private family internment with military honors at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

He is survived by his four sons, Patrick, Michael, Paul and Tim. Seven cherished grandchildren, Michael, Mitchell, Andy, Heather, Shannon, Josie and Nicholas.

Pat’s legacy of faith, service, integrity, and unconditional love will live on in the lives of those who were blessed to know him. Though he will be deeply missed, his example and the memories he created will remain in the hearts of his family for generations to come.
