Eileen Marie Berg

Eileen Marie (nee Conners) Berg, passed away unexpectedly on August 10, 2026 at her happy place, AJ Acres campground, in Clearwater, MN. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; parents, Frank and Lorraine; and brothers, Jerry and Jim. Eileen is survived by her children, Theresa (Lance) Van Elsen, Joseph, and Daniel; and grandchildren, Elizabeth and Michael.

Eileen was a loving and caring wife, mom and grandma who dedicated her life to caring for her family and those around her.

Eileen was the epitome of selflessness, always putting others first-whether it was caring for her ailing mother in Arizona, supporting her father and father-in-law during their times of need, or nurturing her husband until his final days.

A woman of many talents, Eileen found joy in quilting. She was actively involved in numerous groups and organizations that created beautiful quilts to be donated to charities. During the summer, she would spend countless hours preparing quilts that would later be auctioned off at fall festivals, raising money for the church.

She cherished the great outdoors, having introduced her children to camping adventures. Starting with tent camping, she eventually persuaded her husband to upgrade to a trailer, and together, they enjoyed many summers at the campsite. She had a special love for travel too, whether it was spending a month in Florida or taking exciting bus tours-if someone else planned it, she was ready to embrace the experience. Her most recent adventure took her to beautiful Panama City Beach.

Eileen's unexpected passing has left a profound void in the hearts of her family and while her absence is deeply felt, there is comfort in knowing she was surrounded by beauty and peace at her favorite place on earth.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Friday, August 21, 2026 at Presentation of Mary Catholic Church, 1725 Kennard Street, Maplewood, MN 55109, with visitation an hour prior at 10 AM. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family preferred.
