Dorothy Ann (Wimmer) Nohava

Age 89

Dorothy, also known as "Dot", passed away on January 27, 2024, after battling heart failure and pneumonia.

Dorothy was born on December 5, 1934, in the small town of Rock Creek, MN. Throughout her life, she resided in Rock Creek, St. Paul, White Bear Lake, and Forest Lake, MN, having deep roots in each community.

Soon after graduating from Monroe High School, Dorothy married her husband, Clarence Nohava, on June 13, 1953. She had a long career as a cook, working at Village Inn as well as Little Oven, where she delighted countless customers with her delicious meals.

Dorothy enjoyed playing bingo, trying her luck with pull tabs, and taking trips to the casino. Most of all, her favorite pastime was spending time with her loving family. Dorothy was a devoted mother and grandma who cherished each and every memory made with her family.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Nohava; son, Ronald Nohava; parents, Alex & Winnie Wimmer; granddaughters, Ashley Nohava, Barbara Nohava; and brothers, Alex Wimmer and Donald Wimmer. She is survived by her children, Donald (Pam) Nohava, Kathy (Werner) Jahr, Mary Ann Wendel, Dennis (Karen) Nohava, Janice Hulkonen, Edward (Sara) Nohava, and Susan (Tom) Hagert; grandchildren, Donjal, Jennifer, Jill, Denise, Melissa, Dorothy, Scott, Bradley, Carson, Rebecca, Christina, Jessica, Keriann, Thomas, Jamie, Amanda, Kade, Nicole, Angela, Anthony, and Abby; 40 great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; sister, Joanne Jensen; and many nieces & nephews.

A Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2024 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM at Mueller Memorial - White Bear Lake Chapel, 4738 Bald Eagle Ave., with Funeral Service beginning at 12:00 PM. Interment immediately following at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Mahtomedi, MN where she will be laid to rest next to her dear husband, Clarence.
