Memorial visitation 1-5PM on Saturday, September 21 at Mueller Memorial, 4738 Bald Eagle Ave.with a prayer Service at 3:30PM Don grew up on the east side of St. Paul. From a young child, he was active with the St. Paul Ski Club and was an avid ski-jumper. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, golfing and boating. He taught all his kids how to ski, and enjoyed skiing with them throughout the years. The family made many trips to Colorado in their family station wagon to meet up with their aunt, uncle and cousins for a weeklong of skiing. Later, the station wagon was upgraded to a conversion van where we took many trips as a family. Oftentimes to visit Margie’s family on the east coast and the ocean. Don was always ready to make the seasons fun for his kids – building an ice-skating rink on the lawn to building a ski jump for the kids in the backyard. Don enjoyed fishing with his kids. He taught all of his kids to fish, but enjoyed fishing the most with his son Matt. They took many trips to Saskatchewan, Mille Lacs or anywhere the walleyes were biting. Don spent 35 years in the real estate business. Don and his partner, Bob Sneen, started Real Estate Masters, which was for some time the largest independent real-estate company in the twin cities. He retired in 2009 and eventually moved to Brainerd to enjoy fishing and living the lake life full time. Don was hard worker who always was working on a project. He was not one to sit still for long. He will be remembered for his kind disposition and quick wit by all who knew him. He is loved by his family and will be deeply missed
