Dennis Leo
Loving Husband, Father & Grandfather
Passed away peacefully on May 30, 2025 at the age of 79. Dennis worked at the phone company for 35+ years. (US West/Qwest/CenturyLink) He served in the Army during the Vietnam war. He was a member of St Mary of the Lake Catholic Church. He lived on the East Side of St Paul for 25+ years and later moved to White Bear Lake and North St. Paul. He coached youth sports at Conway Playground on the Eastside for over 15 years. He also coached his children with special needs at the Special Olympics. He loved children and taking care of others. He did foster care with his 1st wife Mary Ann Leo before having kids of his own. He would take his family on an annual driving vacation each year to Disney World in Orlando, Florida. He enjoyed spending time with his animals and would spend most mornings running with his dogs. The family would like to thank all the health care workers who cared for Dennis over the last 2 years during his battle with dementia. Preceded in death by his first wife Mary Ann, son Denny and sister Charlotte. Survived by wife Marianne; children Rick, Louanna Steiner, Mike (Pam), Jason (Andrea), Pat (Andrea), Peter (Katrina), Debbie & Albert; Marianne's children Justina Ersfeld, Deanna Shier (Mike) & Christopher Ersfeld (Jessica); many grandchildren; brother Frank Leo (Jane) and extended family & friends. Mass of Christian Burial Monday, June 9, 2025 at 11:00 AM at ST. MARY OF THE LAKE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 4741 Bald Eagle Avenue, White Bear Lake with visitation starting at 10:00 AM. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
