Charles "Chuck" Von Feldt died on June 10, 2026 surrounded by family. Chuck was born in Austin, Minnesota on March 27, 1946. He was one of six children to Dolores Genevieve (nee Meyerhofer) and Albert Joseph Von Feldt. While in his junior year of high school, he began dating the love of his life, Judith Ann Hemann. They graduated from Austin Pacelli High School in 1964 and he went off to specialize in accounting at Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa. Chuck was a Hall of Fame Basketball player in both high school and college.
Chuck and Judy continued dating throughout college while she attended St. Francis School of Nursing in La Crosse, Wisconsin. The two were married at St. Augustine's Church in Austin on September 7, 1968. They moved to Lakeville, Minnesota where they raised their three children. Chuck worked as a CPA for many years and eventually opened his own company, Von Feldt Insurance Agency, in Burnsville, Minnesota. When he was not working or spending time with his family, Chuck enjoyed many different hobbies. He especially enjoys golfing and even volunteered at the PGA tours that were held at Hazeltine Golf Course in Chaska. He is very outdoorsy and can oftentimes be found fishing, working in his vegetable garden, or walking outdoors. They lived in Lakeville for over twenty years until Judy retired from HealthPartners Family Practice in Apple Valley.
Once retired, they bought a ten-acre property and moved to Harris, Minnesota. During their time in Harris, Chuck was very active in the community and volunteering. He was a volunteer fireman and worked as a notary public. Since beginning retirement, traveling has become a huge part of his and Judy's life. They have been to Mexico, Canada, Cape Cod, St. Maarten, and all over the United States. For their 50th anniversary, they went to Israel to celebrate. Their property in Harris was beautiful and allowed for them to babysit Jeffory's children in Chisago Lakes. However, they eventually became tired of the quiet and secluded area of their home so they moved to Hugo, Minnesota. This was another blessing as they lived two houses down from their daughter, Jaime, and their grandchildren. They got to see their other grandkids quite often. Hugo allowed for brand new volunteer opportunities for Chuck and he became a part of the Washington County Deputy program where he worked specifically within the Water, Parks and Trails department. For many years, they were members of St. Genevieve Catholic Parish before they became members of St. Mary of the Lake Parish in White Bear Lake. He also became an election judge and spent countless hours volunteering and registering people during election season. Although it appears as if he would have little spare time left, he was a Respite Caregiver to the elderly at FamilyMeans in Stillwater, Minnesota and continued to serve on the financial committee at St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church. For anyone who knows Chuck, it is clear that he is an outgoing and friendly man who would do anything for anyone.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Dolores and Albert Von Feldt; son-in-law, Greg Ammon; sister-in-law, Kathy Von Feldt. He is survived by his wife, Judith "Judy" Von Feldt; his children, Jana Lynn Ammon of Omaha, NE, Jeffory (Amy) Von Feldt of Chisago Lakes, MN, and Jaime (Kenneth "Ken") Jensen of Duluth, MN; his seven grandchildren, Tyler (Kayla) Jensen, Morgan Von Feldt, Mackenzie Jensen, Joshua Von Feldt, Ryan Jensen, Jessica Ammon, and Natalie Ammon; great grandchild, Beau Jensen; his five siblings, Dianne (John) Mandernach of Shoreview, MN, Nolan Von Feldt of Collinsville, IL, Tom (Bette) Von Feldt of Madison, WI, Vern (Denise) Von Feldt of Blairsville, GA, and Jim (Andrea) Von Feldt of Peoria, IL; and many other family and friends.
