Bruce Charles Hoeffel, age 94, peacefully entered his heavenly home on October 21, 2026.

Bruce was born in Rochester, New York on April 23, 1932, to Herbert and Helen Hoeffel. He grew up in Rochester, New York and attended Aquinas Institute High School and Holy Cross College, where he graduated with a business degree. In 1957 he married the love of his life, Marcia Frances Brown, and within the following five years they were blessed with three children, Kathryn, Thomas and David. Bruce's career took him from Dynacolor in Rochester, New York to 3M (Chicago and Minnesota), where he retired in 1991 as Executive Director of Human Resources.

Bruce was a man of deep convictions, grounded in his reverent faith and Catholic values. He guided his family with wisdom that included maintaining a strong faith through every situation in life, along with emphasizing the importance of a diligent work ethic and a steadfast commitment to the sacrament of marriage. His love and devotion to his wife, Marcia, was infallible. Bruce and Marcia loved traveling the world together, playing golf together (golf being Bruce's passion!), preparing favorite meals together, and last but not least, finding deep contentment and comfort in one another's presence. It was a loving marriage of 67 years, that included residing in Florida for 24 years before returning to Minnesota.

Bruce was also an avid reader; he enjoyed a variety of authors and was always open to a new author or a new subject. With this, his sharp mind allowed him to gift his family each year with faithful birthday and Anniversary cards/texts that always arrived with impeccable timing! Bruce continued this loving gesture into his 94th year of life.

Bruce is preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Helen Hoeffel, along with his adored wife, Marcia, and his deeply beloved son, David.

Bruce is survived by and forever loved by his children, Kathryn (Jeff) Cornella, Thomas (Cathy) Hoeffel, and Sue Hoeffel; grandchildren, Johnathan Cornella, Krystiana Cornella, Julia Cornella, Joseph Cornella, Kiara Cornella, Mike (Shae) Hoeffel, Kellie (Robby) Dee, Anna (Fritz) Waldvogel, Danny (Brenna) Hoeffel, and Nick (Andrea) Hoeffel; and four great grandchildren, Nora Waldvogel, Fritzy Waldvogel, Holland Hoeffel and Zachary Dee, along with baby boy Waldvogel (due December 2026) and baby Hoeffel (due March 2027).

Visitation and funeral honoring Bruce's life will be held on Monday, November 9th, 2026. Visitation will be held from 10-11am at St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church, 4741 Bald Eagle Ave, White Bear Lake, with Mass of Christan Burial starting at 11am. Private interment.
