Anthony (Tony) Thomas Barilla

Tony Barilla, Sr. “Walking Tony” Age 81 of St. Paul US Navy Veteran Born April 14, 1933 in St. Paul. Passed away peacefully on February 20, 2015. Preceded in death by wife, Angie (nee Mangini); parents, Dominic and Anna Mary; brother, Dominic Jr.; sisters, Sue, Carmella, Dora, and Mary Ann; and other dear relatives. Survived by children, Tony Jr. (Jolin) of Oakdale, Bev (Rudy) Ungar of Hugo, and Thierry (Mary) of Arden Hills; grandchildren, Kris (Tara) Ungar, Nate Ungar, Nik Ungar, Jessica (Matthew) Thorsen, Gialana (Joe) Johnson, and Tom (Niccole) Barilla; great-grandchildren, Kaitlin, Dylan, Rylie, Juliana, and Lucianna; brother, Fred (Betty); sisters, Jenny Mechtel, Violet O’Gary, and Josephine (Jim) Falbo; in-laws, Dick (Erla Mae) Mangini, Lucille Mangini, and Peg Pollo; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. A special thank you to Gialana for her compassionate care of her grandpa. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM with visitation from 9:30-11 AM on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at Presentation of the BVM Catholic Church, 1725 Kennard St., Maplewood. Interment Union Cemetery, Maplewood. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to HealthEast Hospice and Presentation of the BVM Catholic Church.
