Andrew Peterson

Andrew “Drew” Peterson, 52, of Scandia, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 20, 2025. He is survived by his son, Ayden Loney-Peterson; parents, Terry (Jack) Christenson and Steve (Patti) Peterson; sister, Sarah (Alex) Hill; stepbrothers, Jason (Amanda), Justin (Carla), and Josh Christenson; nieces and nephews, Ally and Devin Hill, Makena and Macie Christenson, Logan Christenson, and Lily and Jack Christenson; Aunt Joyce Peterson and Uncle Steve (Lori) Jackson; many cousins and friends.

Drew had a fulfilling career as a landscaper. At home he loved gardening and then using the produce to cook up his special salsa and spaghetti sauce to share with everyone. He was an avid outdoorsman, especially fishing for crappies on Wapogasset Lake. During his White Bear Lake school days he participated in community soccer and hockey programs and transitioned to adult league softball after graduation. Drew was a passionate sports fan, especially of the Minnesota Wild, and often a frustrated Vikings fan.

Drew had a compassion to love family and everyone he knew. He met the day not seeing strangers but rather seeing friends he had not yet met. His dogs were considered family as well and were always by his side. His spirit shone brightly in all he did. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A celebration of Drew’s life is being planned for January 10 from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Meister’s Grill in Scandia. Please dress accordingly as it will be held in heated tents. In lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged to be made to your Humane Society/Animal Rescue or to a local food shelf.
